Audiences rarely have a chance to see preproduction materials despite the important role that storyboards and animatics play. Storyboards are where artists plan and refine the visual storytelling in their projects, offering blueprints for other departments. To honour the work that storyboard artists contribute, Toon Boom Animation is highlighting clips from our community of storyboard artists, directors and students.

2023’s Storyboard Showreel is our very first showreel dedicated to storyboard art. This reel reflects the work that storyboard artists around the world created in a wide variety of styles, all made using Toon Boom Storyboard Pro. Samples include student showreels from Escape Studios and SCAD as well as work from Aaron Paetz, Mike Morris and Laura Franke.
