Nilayan is an Indian visual development artist and animator with over five years of experience in the animation industry. He has had the pleasure to work with amazing studios including Brunch Studio, Iksa Studio, BRIKK Animation, Monkey Wrench, CRUX Studio and Studio Eeksaurus among many others. Nilayan graduated from Gobelins, Paris in 2021 and is currently working as a freelancer.

Hi I'm Billy, I run Toastie Animation a UK animation studio. I love dabbling in all aspects of animation and have worked in everything from preschool animation to commercials. I get energised by working with amazing artists and bringing characters to life through animation.

I’ve been working in animation for 35 years, from commercials to features. Started as an inbetweener, and went on to animate, storyboard and direct. Credits include The Lion King, Mulan, Brother Bear, and dozens of episodes of VeggieTales (several of which I directed). For the last 10 years I’ve been a freelance storyboard artist. My clients have been indie features (i.e. Animal Crackers), as well as TV shows like Scooby Doo and Dorothy and the Wizard of Oz for Warners. I also teach storyboarding at Lipscomb University in Nashville.
