The Xentrix Toon Boom Harmony paid training program recently completed its second run. Over the course of three months, 15 students in their early 20s learned future-proofed, specialized skills like rigging and compositing. This influx of talent could not come at a better time; Filipino service studio work for foreign productions hit $153 million in 2015, with year-over-year growth in the double digits according to “Nikkei Asia“.

All of the graduates from Xentrix’s Harmony training program are now working in production at the studio.
“The day after the training finished, all of our graduates immediately began working on the P. King Duckling series. Some are also working on Rescue Bots Academy,” says Alice Dizon Manuel, Xentrix Studios’ managing director.
She continues, “It is beneficial for animation studios to have their own training programs — with training designed around the requirements of in-house projects.”
