Toon Boom Animation has been developing tools for artists in the animation industry since 1994. This is just the beginning and your feedback from the beta program will help us serve the needs of professional artists and studios.
Ember is a suite of tools designed to assist artists, not replace them. Toon Boom Animation develops software for professional artists working in the animation industry. Our AI-powered features can be individually activated or deactivated as required by your studio or user preference, and are designed to fit into an artist’s workflow. Toon Boom Ember is not a replacement for artistic skill or creativity, or a “make the animation for me” button.
Toon Boom Ember’s features are currently integrated in the beta versions of Storyboard Pro and Harmony 25. We designed the experience to be seamless while working in Harmony or Storyboard Pro. If you want an opportunity to be part of the beta program and provide feedback, you can sign up today.
- Have valid and active licenses of Storyboard Pro 22 or 24 or Harmony Premium 22 or 24.
- Alternatively you can download a 21-day trial of Storyboard Pro or Harmony Premium 24. In this case you will only have 21 days to be part of the Beta Program.
- Have an active Toon Boom Account or you can register for free on the Toon Boom website if you haven’t yet.
- Have a live internet connection while using the AI features.
- Be prepared to give Toon Boom feedback throughout the Beta Program by filling in surveys, including but not limited to, after each usage of Storyboard Pro or Harmony 25 Beta.

Yes. You first need to apply to the beta program. Once you have been enrolled in the beta program, you will be able to download the latest test builds of Storyboard Pro and Harmony with Ember.
Toon Boom Ember introduces intelligent features, such as screenplay analysis, script breakdowns as well as contextual masking and image manipulation tools. These features are meticulously designed to streamline workflows and assist artists.

Yes there will be more. This particular beta is solely to introduce our initial set of AI-powered features. Storyboard Pro and Harmony 25 will be released later this year with a lot of new and exciting features, none of which are AI-related. Stay tuned for more updates!
