How can I see only wanted drawings or key drawings in the camera/drawing view?

DP0004: How can I see only wanted drawings or key drawings in the camera/drawing view?

There are many ways of flipping through specific drawings (key drawings) only in the Camera/Drawing Views. Here are some examples of how you can manage this by sending only the desired drawings or using Mark and flip tools.

(The shortcuts for navigating backwards and forwards through frames are F and G by default.)

A.      Using ‘send drawings to drawing/camera view’ option.

Step1. From the Xsheet, Select only the desired drawings to be show in the Camera/Drawing view. You can select multiple non-contiguous (i.e. not in a connected sequence) drawings while holding Control key. For a connected range of drawings, select the first, then shift+click the last drawing of the sequence.

Step2. In Xsheet, right-click the selection and choose 'Send drawings to Drawing/Camera View' Then any selected drawings will be sent to the Camera/Drawing view on the right side of the panel. Now using the "F" and "G" shortcuts, you can flip through the drawings that have been sent to the Drawing/Camera View.

If you want to add another drawing from the Xsheet, select the new drawing to be sent and then right click to choose 'Add drawing to drawing/camera view'

Note: The new drawings will be added right after the current drawing that is selected in the right side of the panel. If you want to send the new drawing to the end, please select the last drawing in the panel.

Note: You can always remove unwanted drawings that have been sent to the right side of the panel in the Camera/Drawing Views by right-clicking it and choosing 'Remove selected drawing' or 'Remove all drawings' Also if the system responses become too slow due to generating multiple thumbnails in the panel or you want to see larger/smaller thumbnails, you can choose 'No thumbnails'or 'Small/Large thumbnail' in the panel by right clicking it.

B.      Using Mark and Flip option.

This is very useful tools when you want to flip key (or breakdown) drawings only. In order to process this procedure I would like you to turn ‘Flip’ and ‘Easy Flipping’ toolbar on in the toolbar menu.

Step1. Select drawings that need to be a key frame. And click K mark button. Then you will see K mark next your drawing name.

Step2. Click [k] in toolbar (not the one from Xsheet) and then you will be able to flip only k marked drawings (key drawings).

Then, click the key flip button from the toolbar menu. Then you can flip key drawings only with F and G without sending them to the camera drawing view. With the same technique, you can also do the breakdown (B) as well.

Note: When you send drawings with ‘send drawings to drawing/camera view’ that are marked as k or b, and that you are using the flip technique, it only flips the marked ones that are sent to the camera/drawing panel. In this case, if you want to change the mark that are sent to the drawing view, please remove all drawings from the side panel and change the marks and resend the drawings to camera/drawing view to prevent any refresh issue that may still keep the old information.

C.      Using Easy Flip tools.

Please note that this tool only works in the drawing view. If you do you have drawing view, please create a one.

Step1. First mark the key drawing and [K] flip button from the exercise B. Using Mark and Flip option.

Step2. Open the drawing view and with Easy flip tools, you can flip the drawings easily.
