Toon Boom Academic Licensing Program (TALP)

Toon Boom Animation recognizes the value of Toon Boom products as teaching and learning tools. To get Toon Boom products in the hands of learners, educators and not-for-profit organizations, Toon Boom Animation has implemented the Academic Licensing Program (TALP), which makes it affordable for schools, students and faculty members to purchase single licenses of Toon Boom products.

How To Take Advantage

By becoming a member and having your academic status approved, you have access to academic pricing and special offers at our Online Store.

Quotes in Canadian dollars can be issued upon request.

1. Become a Member by registering on the Members and Registration page.
   
   
2. Download, print, and fill-out the Academic Registration Form (PDF). You must have Acrobat® Reader® to view this form.
   
   
3. Get the required proof of eligibility. See the Eligibility section.
   
   
4. Fax the completed Academic Registration Form AND the required proof of eligibility to 1-514-278-2666. If you have any problems, you can email us at academic@toonboom.com.
   
   
5. A Toon Boom staff member will contact you to approve your status.

Eligibility

Only qualified Students and Faculty Members from approved academic institutions are eligible to purchase Toon Boom products under the terms of the Academic Licensing Program. Homeschooled children are also eligible.

Students and Faculty Members:

All full-time and part-time students/faculty members attending schools or educational institutions accredited by the U.S. Secretary of Education, Provincial Education Ministries (Canada) or other national Education Ministries (International) are eligible to purchase Toon Boom products under the Academic Licensing Program.

Students:

To confirm your eligibility, you must provide a copy of your Photo Student ID card with the date.

Faculty members:

To confirm your eligibility, you must provide a copy of your most recent pay slip.

Homeschooled children:

Please contact academic@toonboom.com to validate your eligibility.

›› If your ID isn't dated for the current term, you must also provide one of the following:

• A copy of your dated class schedule.
• A copy of a receipt of payment for the current semester’s tuition from the Registrar's Office.
• Another dated school ID (like a library card) that has your school's name on it.
• A letter from the school on official school letterhead stating that you are currently enrolled as a student or a faculty member.

›› If your school ID doesn't have your photo on it, you must also provide one of the following:

• A copy of your Driver’s License with your photo.
• A copy of your Passport photo page.

Not-for-profit organizations:

Not-for-profit organizations are eligible to purchase Toon Boom products under the Academic Licensing Program. To confirm your eligibility, you must provide a copy of your official registered status.
